Malcolm Rodriguez won’t adapt to the bears

After injuring his right elbow last week, Detroit Lions linebacker Malcolm Rodriguez will not play against the Chicago Bears.

The the LionsThe Bears offense will have the opportunity this week to face a Bears defense that has traded two key elements.

linebacker Roquan-Smith and defensive end Robert Quinn are no longer on the Bears roster, signaling to many that the team is rebuilding.

Bears head coach Matt Eberflus has earned a lot of respect throughout the league for the job he did as the Indianapolis Colts’ defensive coordinator.

“Yes, I have a lot of respect for their coaching staff,” the Lions’ offensive coordinator said. Ben Johnson said this week. “I think I was in Miami a few years ago when we played Indy, and I remember thinking about that defense – because it’s the same style of defense he used in Indy, I I was like, ‘Holy cow, they’re doing really well trained.’ You can tell just by playing them what they were taught to do because all the defensive players did that so I have a lot of respect for them as coaches and what they do schematically and technically. ”

The Bears are coming off a 35-32 loss to the dolphins home last week.

Devoid of key players, the BearThe defense is likely to score points at a high level.

“As for their staff, you’re right, they’ve traded some really good players, but they’re young, they’re hungry, they’re flying everywhere,” said Johnson. “So it’s one of those games where it’s a demanding game. It’s the team that finishes at the whistle, that will be successful. We are aware of that. They could make mistakes. I think it shows a little bit on the tape but they are getting better every week so even though they have lost points and yards it will be a good challenge for us on the road they are doing a great work by mixing up their defenses, too There’s a number of different covers, and when you look at it, “OK, it’s cover one, cover two, cover three. But, there’s a lot of variety , and it’s rarely the same call twice. So, I have to stay on top of our game.”
