Former NFL Teammates Say Pot Co. Cheating Suit Is ‘Slinging Mud’

By Katryna Perera (March 24, 2022, 9:07 p.m. EDT) — NFL player Julio Jones and his former teammate have asked a California state judge to further reduce a lawsuit filed against them by pot grower Genetixs LLC, saying that, among other things, the company’s amended complaint is “throwing mud” by pointing to the drug arrest of Jones’ brother as a possible explanation for the disappearance of Genetixs product.

Jones, a receiver for the Tennessee Titans, and Sharod “Roddy” White, his former retired Atlanta Falcons teammate, filed two memos in Los Angeles County court on Tuesday, arguing for the dismissal of several complaints as part of Genetixs lawsuit against them.
