The queen of the country, Dolly Partonturned 76 on January 19. And what better way to celebrate than by posing in her birthday costume?

It’s true, the singer “Jolene” honored the milestone with a throwback Instagram photo in which she wore a matching ensemble of hot pink satin lined with red lace, complete with her long base nails (which she often uses as instruments) and matching jewelry. “Just hanging out in my birthday suit!” she captioned the post.

We’ve always known Ms Parton to be a smart and funny woman, and even at 76 she continues to keep us on our toes. Of course, her fans and followers showered her with birthday wishes and words of kindness.

“Cutest 💕😍💗🥰💘 happy birthday living legend,” one person commented. “Happy birthday my dear, thank you for being an inspiration to us all, you are an icon!!” another added. “Happy birthday, wonderful humanitarian, amazing artist and overall beautiful person ❤️,” someone else wrote.

Not that we’re surprised, but Parton leaves nothing behind — his age, a pandemic, nothing! – prevent her from making music and doing what she loves. He’s kind of an avowed workaholic (who gets up at 3 am every morning!) and it shows: she just released a new song, “Big dreams and faded jeans” and his latest album, Run, Rose, Run is available for pre-order now. This is a companion album to Detective novel she is coming out in collaboration with James Patterson of the same name.

This year marks a unique anniversary for Parton. Some may remember that she wanted pose for Playboy (for the second time) last year for its 75th anniversary, but the magazine had unfortunately ceased printing. So she made a compromise and dressed up as playboy bunny for her husband Carl Deanbirthday a few months later.

And instead of getting another glamorous cover on her 75th birthday, the world got something much more meaningful from the country star. She wrote an open letter to fans reminding them to always seek compassion. It was his only birthday wish.

“My wish is that everyone does something a little different today. Let’s call it a plea for kindness,” she wrote on her official website. “If you want to donate to your favorite cause, donate. If you want to call an old friend during those lonely times, call them. If it’s safe to volunteer, raise your hand to do so. If you decide that today is the day you get a dog, run to the shelter and find your new buddy. The choices are limitless. »

She continued, “I always encourage people to dream big, but I also take great care to follow that up with the message to work hard. We can’t just hope for a better day, we have to work for a better day. Love is too often buried in a world of pain and fear. We must work to dig it up so that we can share it with our family, friends and neighbors. So today, January 19, let’s discover love. Love is more contagious than a virus, so let your best self shine in glorious light and others will be inspired by you.

A year later, his message still rings true. We can’t wait to see what this year brings to the megastar.
