“Cordell, 18, would have no idea what’s in front of him. It sure is,” said Cordell Volson, a former North Dakota State offensive lineman.
Volson is from Balfour, North Dakota. A town of 27 inhabitants.
“I played nine-man football,” Volson said. “You know, I was probably more of a basketball player in high school. I guess it all paid off, right?”

It’s a recipe for hockey success for Moorhead Bantam AA hockey player Sam Laurila, who earlier this month was selected to play for the National Team Development Program’s Under-17 squad of USA Hockey next season.
Laurila, a 15-year-old defenseman, is one of seven Minnesota-born players on the roster.
