Kirk Cousins will have to come out of his Monday Night Football funk without one of his most trusted offensive weapons. The official Minnesota Vikings Twitter account has confirmed that Adam Thielen will be inactive for their Monday night game against the Chicago Bears.

Thielen injured his ankle against the Detroit Lions in Week 13, absent from last week’s game against the Pittsburgh Steelers. The veteran wide receiver is second on the team in targets, receptions and yards while leading the team with 10 receiving touchdowns in 12 games.
Last week, KJ Osborn took over from Thielen, leading the team with 83 yards on three catches with a touchdown. Justin Jefferson also saw his targets increase, with 15 assists going against him in last week’s win. Both players have fantastic high caps against the Bears tonight.
As noted above, Cousins doesn’t have a great track record playing on Monday night, going 1-9 in a row and ATS throughout his career.
The Vikings enter tonight’s contest as a -7 favorites, according to FanDuel Sportsbook, although that line has declined since Thielen broke the news.
